Hallo Zied!

Ich bin ebenfalls auf der Suche, nach so einem Spezialtranponder... Bei mir gehts um die Technikerarbeit...

Hast du schon Erfolg gehabt?

For all englisch speaking guys:

We are searching for a RFID-Tag-EEPROM with two types of interfaces. One for RF more precisely on HF or UHF, and one as SPI or I2C.

It's like the Dual-Access-EEPROM from Atmel AT24RF08. Does someone knows a type like that?

Thanks for help!

I'm trying to figure how what is a feeding network (or some called it matching network).

1) What does a feeding network contribute to a RFID Tag / Reader ? Main function is to ensure impedance is matched between Tag antenna to ___ ?

2) Can feeding network be realized simply by adjusting the width of the microstrip to change the impedance? Or do i need passive components ?

Are there any reference which i can refer to for more info?

Many Thanks

Hi!

Actually, the efficiency of the rectifier defines the amount of the DC power delivered to the load. From this point of view, the efficiency of the rectifier does have influence on the operative range of the tag. After all, the electronics of the tag have a minimum power requirement, not a minimum voltage requirement.

For example, assume that we can achieve the desired DC voltage levels at a certain distance (of e.g. 80cm). However, the output power of the rectifier (which is defined by the efficiency of the rectifier) may not be sufficient to provide the load with the desired current levels.

I hope that I gave you a clearer view of the situation!

Thanks,
Nikos

I'm writing my thesis about RFID. One main aspect of my thesis will be the analysis of the cost and benefit of the system. Additionally I will design a returnable system for global used RFID tags.

For this reason I need information about cleaning the info on rfid tags. Are there any hard problems to switch a read-only system to a rewritable system. Everybody that has experience in this field is called to write me an email to

ceeeg@hotmail.com

My question is about how to measure the benefit, are there any controlling tools known for logistics key data that are especially related to RFID?

Or does anybody know usefull literature or links for this topic?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Chris

Hi,

Theoretically, if an antenna is perfectly matched with the load (for example the rectifier), the amplitude of the voltage on the load will be the antenna amplitude over two! And this result is indipendent by the current absorbed by the load. So, in condition of matching the efficiency of the rectifier has not influence on the maximum operative range of the tag.

Is it correct?
Why does people try to maximize the efficiency of the rectifier and not to minimize its input voltage need to work?
The two approach are different because of the input impedence.

Thanks a lot...

Hi

I would like to know if there are any hardware performance requirements for EPC C1G2 tags, like a minimum tag sensitivity, RCS, power reflection coefficient, etc...

Thanks

Signal to activate a transponder

Hello everybody! I have some questions and hope you can help me. I have to realize a data transmission from a µC to a Transceiver and to a RFID Transponder and back. I have a Transponder with an HITAG S256 Chip. But I don't know how to activate it. I know that I have to send a UID Request to adress the Transponder. In the datasheet (page30) there is mentioned that I can send for example "1100x) but then the data that are sent back coded in AC(Anticollison) but I need the data in Manchester code. What do I have to send or can I send what i want. And my next question is, what is the answer from the Transponder. I know that it starts to send a SOF(Start of Frame) which is also called Header. Is this the configuration that the µC knows which configuration the Transponder has. I hope anybody can help me. Thanks

I am building an integrated RFID system capable of quickly identifying objects by their RFID tags. The system will be able to read and write Tags. Read data will be store in a Database through a Middleware.

I intend this system to be installed in Libraries. By automatically identifying the
Books and collecting their info ...

At the bottom u will find pix for the system block diagram and flowchart

I was wondering :

what MCU to use and how to make it support graphical LCD?

How the communication between PC and reader will work ... to read data and write tags ... what programing language to use ?

what is the construction in the frame pattern sent between Tag and Reader?

Do u got any links or books that can help me through this project?
